AIX presents its performance results for 2018

In 2018 the following securities were issued, listed and placed on AIX platform: Eurobonds of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, ordinary shares and global depositary receipts of JSC “NAC “Kazatomprom”, and corporate bonds of JSC “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy”. There were five private placements of debt securities*. In addition, securities of JSC “Shubarkol komir” and JSC “Transnational Company “Kazchrome” were added to the “pre-IPO” category. AIX trading members totaled 13, including 2 large international brokerage houses. Two custodian banks became the members of the AIX Central Securities Depository (AIX CSD) - Sberbank and Bank CenterCredit, more than 60,000 investors’ accounts are opened at the AIX CSD. Tim Bennett, AIX’s CEO commented: “We achieved significant results in the first year of AIX existence, including some important key milestones: creation of regulatory environment familiar to international investors,  fully operational global standard infrastructure, ecosystem of local and international brokers, a platform for successful IPO of the first national company, Kazatomprom, which was listed within the state privatisation programme, with significant interest shown by local and international investors which resulted in high level of liquidity under this offer. We have managed to create a world-class exchange in less than a year, and we will continue working on further development of the local capital market in the future.” Trading results in 2018 were as follows. Since its IPO, the value traded of Kazatomprom shares is KZT 3,288,033,705 (2359 trades, 697,047 ordinary shares). During the same period, there were 77 trades with 46,503 global depository receipts of Kazatomprom with a turnover of US$ 582,335.63. Weekly Trading Update
