This section provides guidance on the share transfer process following company's re-domiciliation to the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC). It outlines the key operational steps for maintaining shareholder records through the AIX Registrar and AIX Central Securities Depository (CSD), and explains the actions required from investors to ensure continued access to their holdings. The guide is intended to support shareholders through the transition and clarify the available options for managing their securities post re-domiciliation.
What to expect as a shareholder following re-domiciliation
Upon receipt of the existing shareholder register from the previous registrar, AIX will open an account at the AIX Registrar for each shareholder of record listed in that register. To ensure proper identification and enable full access to individual accounts, shareholders are required to provide the AIX Registrar with certain personal or corporate information.

Failure to provide the requested information may result in limited access to account functionality. Full access will be granted once the required information is submitted, and the terms and conditions of the AIX Registry Services Agreement are accepted.
AIX expects to receive the shareholder register from the previous registrar approximately 5 working days after the official re-domiciliation decision. Due to time zone differences and file transfer protocols, processing of the data may take an additional 1–2 working days.
The re-domiciliation becomes effective on the next working day following the completion of register transfer processing. From this point, the AIX Registrar begins maintaining the official register of shareholders. For investors whose holdings are serviced via the AIX Central Securities Depository (CSD), access may be delayed by up to 2 additional working days, depending on data received from external systems.
If your shares were not directly registered in your name before the re-domiciliation effective date, your name will not appear in the shareholder register maintained by AIX Registrar. Instead, your shareholding will be recorded under the name of your nominee holder - such as your investment firm, bank, or broker. Following the re-domiciliation effective date, you may open your own account at AIX Registrar (Option A below) or ask your nominee to transfer your shares to a local brokerage or custodian account with an AIX CSD Participant (Option B below).
- Option A - Own Account at AIX Registrar (for direct record of title; no trading access)
- Option B - Local Brokerage Account (for active trading on AIX Market)
