Teniz Capital Brokerage Partners with Tabys App

The Tabys mobile investment app, developed and launched by the Astana International Exchange in 2020 as a social initiative to promote financial literacy, has now entered a new phase of development.

The Tabys mobile investment app, developed and launched by the Astana International Exchange in 2020 as a social initiative to promote financial literacy, has now entered a new phase of development. To broaden users’ access to a wider array of investment products and enhance its infrastructure, the brokerage firm Teniz Capital Brokerage Ltd has been brought on board as a private partner.

Since its launch, the Tabys app has offered aspiring investors in Kazakhstan access to a range of investment products, including exchange-traded notes (ETNs), participation in IPOs and SPOs of national companies, as well as bond issues from selected private companies.

By partnering with an AIFC-registered, licensed professional broker, the range of available investment instruments is set to expand. This includes AIX-listed stocks and bonds, access to international markets, and a broader selection of financial products. Consequently, users will have the opportunity to build diversified investment portfolios, while the integration of professional capital markets and securities analytics into Tabys will enhance their ability to invest more effectively in the stock market.

It is important to note that control of the project remains with the Astana International Financial Centre, and, as before, client accounts are held at the AIX Central Securities Depository (AIX CSD). Yernar Zhanadil, Chairman of the AIFC Authority Management Board, will join the Board of Directors of Tabys Ltd. Relevant notifications of the transaction, along with all necessary documentation, have been submitted to the Astana Financial Services Authority.

Existing Tabys users do not need to undergo any additional registration or re-registration processes; they may subsequently be required to provide additional data according to the broker’s rules in future. The application will continue to operate as usual, with a gradual expansion of the available investment instruments. Tabys remains committed to fulfilling all its obligations to clients.

Zharas Mussabekov, CEO of Tabys Ltd., commented: “This partnership marks a new chapter in the development of Tabys, broadening opportunities for investors in Kazakhstan. Users will now have access to a wider range of investment instruments while staying within a familiar ecosystem. Additionally, it will strengthen the educational component, supporting the practical application of knowledge and the creation of diversified investment portfolios.”

Yerlan Soltanov, Managing Director of Teniz Capital Brokerage Ltd, said: “Our partnership with Tabys is a natural progression in the development of digital investment solutions in Kazakhstan. We recognise significant potential in offering clients innovative tools that will enable them to effectively manage capital in both local and international markets.”

Clients using the Tabys app can continue to enjoy the full benefits of AIFC regulation. The app remains fully compliant with AIFC standards, safeguarding investors’ rights, ensuring transparency in all transactions and reports, and adhering to international anti-money laundering regulations.
